Artist Interview: 900tutu
Tell us about yourself and your music
Tutu 2x aka 900tutu born and raised in Hampton VA. All I know is gain and maintain, because I don’t come from the wealthiest family. My people made enough for a living, I want more in life. That’s when I chose to really use my musical talent to get paid. My music is inspiration for a lot of people who can relate to it.
Talk to us more about your latest release
In 2016 , I released an EP called ” Up ” on Spinrilla hosted by DJ Yung Rel, recently I added this project to SoundCloud for my fans who don’t have the Spinrilla app. Over the past year I have been uploading my music and some interesting freestyles on my YouTube.
What inspired you to write this release?
My dedication I put in to my work. I want to show my fans my seriousness that I’m taking into making my music.
Any plans to release a video?
Working on finding a good camera person. In due time coming soon.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
I don’t care if nobody else supports me I will continuously share my own music, because maybe some people didn’t see it or they were busy and inactive. I just won’t let my talent go to waste. My flow and wordplay is crafty enough to put me at the top spot.
Who have you been listening to lately?
Meek Mill, DMX,Boosie Badazz, Jadakiss, Don Q, and Chief Keef.
Tell us about your passions
I strive to be wealthy. I feel like if that person can make that much money I have the same opportunity if I direct myself to do it. I try to work harder than that person so I can achieve such a goal. My family made enough for a good civilized life, but me I want more so I can show them what they been missing in this world.
What else is happening next in your world?
February 1, 2017 I’m dropping another project called ” Waited Sumn Time ” on Spinrilla hosted by Justice Laquan. This was put together based on how my life and what’s surrounded by it is going on.
