Tell us about yourself and your music
I’ve been a singer all my life. However, I studied psychology and for a long time I was a psychoanalyst.
One day I decided to leave my profession and went out to the world to sing, until today, without any support. France and Spain were the countries where I developed my activity with great success and love of the public. My repertoire consists of songs with quality texts, ballads, bossas in different languages because I speak French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and now English.
Talk to us more about your latest release
My last album “Songs whirling in your mind” is my first work in English and was presented at Carnegie Hall in New York where I have performed in (2015 and 2016)
What inspired you to write this release?
Important family members I have in the USA insisted on singing in English and called me · The last Crooner”.
I have sung some songs in English in France and the public enthusiastically approved.
Any plans to release a video?
Not for now. There are too many videos and the public is not paying attention anymore. The video tries against the quality of interpretation of the singer.
Any plans to hit the road?
I’m scheduling new concerts in the USA at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in 2018
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
Fusion ballad, bossa, tango and jazz
Who have you been listening to lately?
I only listen to the big ones, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streissand, Rod Steward, Beyonce, Tony Bennett
Tell us about your passions
Poetry and struggle to try to refine the taste of people who do not always appreciate good art, especially in Latin America
What else is happening next in your world?
I am a happy man and I thank God for what happens to me. Now I can choose where to sing. I’m very selective.
Thanks for an awesome interview, Jhosemaria!
